WE SHARPEN CLIPPER BLADES TO EXACT SPECIFICATIONS
1/1000 to 1.5/1000 of an inch of material will be removed, no more, no less.
We use the Treyco automatic machine which correctly holds and aligns the blades while sharpening. Perfect alignment is virtually impossible while hand holding clipper blades and alignment is critical to Hollow Grinding.
Hollow Grinding is the best way to extend clipper blade sharpness. It allows only the tips to cut, until they wear, gradually exposing more sharpened teeth surfaces.
The hollow area also allows hair to pass through the blades and out, rather than getting caught between them, which essentially holds them apart reducing cutting efficiency.
