Convex hair shears must be done correctly. There is no room for error. They are expensive, and once the manufacturer guarantee has expired, or the manufacturer refuses to honor their guarantee due to what they consider "user damage," they must be cared for with skill. There is little or no tolerance for error when honing these types of tools, and excessive resistance when cutting can lead to carpal tunnel and ailments that can effect a sylists means of survival.
We do not take the sharpening of convex hair shears lightly.
